Honoring Heroes - TEVET Participates in Wreaths Across America

Greeneville, TN - This past weekend, the nation participated in Wreaths Across America, an organization with the purpose to honor our fallen heroes and to teach our children the true value of freedom.

Since 1992, thousands of volunteers have gathered at national and military cemeteries across the United States. For one day, volunteers walk the rows of headstones laying a wreath at each fallen hero's grave. The wreath is nicely placed, the ribbon is straightened, and the names are read aloud. By delivering this level of care and attention, the fallen are remembered and honored.

And Greeneville is in no short supply of our local heroes, both greatly missed and those who still carry the flame. This past weekend, TEVET employees participated in our local Wreaths Across America. Local JROTC cadets, veterans, and citizens volunteered at Andrew Johnson National Cemetery (yes, the same one as our former President).  Wreaths were prepared, distributed to volunteers, and laid at headstones and memorials.

As a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned small business (SDVOSB), TEVET is proud to participate in our community and to share our promise to our veterans and service members. Their sacrifices, service, and names will never be forgotten.
