Washington, D.C. - This week, TEVET is attending the HUBZone Legislative Fly-In to learn more about the HUBZone program, engage our representatives and senators about the HUBZone program, and to inform them on the significant progress and success at TEVET. Continuous communication with our legislature is key to understanding and further developing the program.
TEVET, and other influential HUBZone small businesses, are instrumental to programs' successes for both the government and prime contractors. And the HUBZone designation is crucial not only to the business that we transact, but also crucial to the improvement of our communities. Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUBZone) are known for socioeconomic challenges. These challenges transcend class, age, race, etc. And with the business and success that TEVET is able to create, we funnel it back into our community. Kids are clothed; opportunities are created; trauma is healed; dreams are realized; families are strengthened.
For us, the HUBZone program is not just another designation. It is a lifeline to helping our community.
