Our Veteran Difference

What sets TEVET apart from other small businesses? Our combination of government designations? Yes, we are both SDVOSB and HUBZone which is a bit unique. Our OEM partnerships? Yes, we have numerous capabilities because of the corporate-wide contracts that we set with Keysight Technologies, National Instruments, and other leading suppliers in the Aerospace and Defense industry. Our customer-centric approach that has made us the preferred small business in our industry? Yes, we have the trophy room to back it up.

But what truly sets us apart from all other small businesses in the Aerospace and Defense industry is our commitment to service and those who have served.

We believe that veterans have a specific definition of service and character traits that make the difference when working with TEVET. Characteristics include: industry knowledge, technical insight, problem-solving determination, integrity, work ethic, and the commitment to see a task (or mission) all the way through.

TEVET was founded and is still led by veteran character, Tracy Solomon who is a third-generation service-disabled veteran. And it was his goal to build success with and for fellow veterans. For more than 15 years, TEVET has been employing and supporting veterans within our community. We have proudly employed veterans from every branch of the military. Take a look at Our Team page, select the ones with Armed Forces emblems, and learn a bit about them each. Access Our Team page.

Outside of TEVET, we work closely with veteran organizations like our local DAV chapter to provide for our veteran population. This can be fundraising, transportation to doctor appointments, professional assistance, and support of their outreaches like scholarships for our local JROTC programs. So, yes, TEVET is an SDVOSB organization. But we take that designation a step farther. We surround ourselves – in business and community – with those who understand the true meaning of service. We might be biased, or it might be a universal truth, but what veterans make the difference that keeps our customers turning to TEVET to take care of all their procurement needs. And they are the ones that make a difference in our communities across the nation.
