Playing in the Street - TEVET Assists in March for Babies Roadblock

Written by Casey Coyne | May 2, 2018 12:20:12 PM

Greeneville, TN – This weekend, TEVET played in traffic (technically waited at the 4-way stop by the Sandwich House restaurant). We were doing what our mothers always told us not to do. Sounds exactly like how we were when we were kids. But this time, we had good reason to risk arm and limb. We were participating in the March for Babies Roadblock

All Saturday, we spoke to kind grandparents going to and from the grocery store, collected loose change from people who just grabbed lunch, and waived at the kids who were off to their playdates with friends. Our community stepped up and showed up to help out our cause. To see this kind of overwhelming support makes us realize that our efforts – our community outreach – is truly working and strengthening our community. That is one of the goals!

Thank you to all who worked the roadblock, stopped and chatted, donated, or simply waived. With your help, we are exceeding our fundraising goal for March for Babies this year!
