TEVET Marches for Babies

TEVET Marches for Babies

Greeneville, TN –  A new birth is an exciting moment for most families. But, not all newborns start their lives on the same page. Premature births and birth defects still occur regularly, even with modern medicine. At TEVET, we want to help ensure that more newborns enter this world healthy and strong. March of Dimes, and its specific organization, March for Babies, is our teammate in this endeavor.

On April 30th, the TEVET team participated in the annual March for Babies event at Laughlin Memorial Hospital. The family event included a one-mile walk, fun zone for kids, and even a selfie station. Account Manager and Marketing Communications Manager MaKinna Lane served as TEVET captain for this event. She is part of the Greene County March of Dimes board and holds the March for Babies cause close to her heart.

Prior to race day, the TEVET team participated in fundraising events and raised over $800. On race day, numerous TEVET employees and their families were in attendance to walk, run, dance, sing, and pose for selfies for the cause. This year’s event is expected to raise over $48,000. All funds will go to research and programs that save the lives of babies within our local communities and across the nation.

TEVET is proud to be a part of the annually held event and the March for Babies organization. Together, we raise money, unite families and businesses, change lives, and support the March for Babies mission to prevent premature birth, birth defects, and infant mortality. We help ensure that all newborns have a good chance to start life out healthy and strong. (Pictured above: MaKinna Lane, Pam Parrish, Casey Coyne)
