With advancements in electromechanical systems and the growing demand for field-reliable products in harsh environments, test engineers are moving from centralized measurement systems to nodes. These nodes are digitized, quieter, and more suitable for transportation and testing in the field. Nodes have their own challenges to overcome – synchronizing data, scale, and seamless integration. To answer those challenges, TEVET strategic partner, NI developed their most rugged device yet – FieldDAQ.
The FieldDAQ devices can acquire accurate measurements within harsh climates (-40 degrees C to 85 degrees C), are dust and water resistant (including rain, sleet, snow, and mud), and can sustain 100 g shock and 10 g vibration. Time Sensitive Networking (TSN) is also incorporated within the FieldDAQ. This allows data synchronization through a network of DAQ nodes without physical connections like cords or complex programming. - simplicity in synchronization.
Flexible and configurable hardware and software platforms make the FieldDAQ an innovative leader within the field. With innovative platforms and advance capabilities, test engineers can reduce overall cost of test and update easily. Engineers can easily change size, performance, and efficiency of each component to their needs to solve the world’s greatest engineering challenges.
