Saluting Our Heroes - Our Veterans Make the Difference at TEVET

Saluting Our Heroes - Our Veterans Make the Difference at TEVET

Greeneville, TN – TEVET is built upon the pillars of service to our country, community, and our customers. This stems from Tracy Solomon’s, TEVET CEO and founder, family history.  He comes from a family that has proudly served in our nation’s armed forces for the past three generations – grandfather was a Purple Heart recipient from the Philippines during World War II, father was a Purple Heart recipient from the TET Offensive during Vietnam, and Tracy served in the Navy as an aviation technician and selected member of the US Navy Color and Honor Guard during the Gulf War.

By hiring veterans, the TEVET culture of service is strengthened both for our business and the good will we do for our community. Veterans bring a strong sense of duty, work ethic, and drive for mission success into the workforce - something that is very important to a successful, small business. They are willing to take on challenges and lead teams that make significant, positive improvements for our internal systems, customer service, and relationships with our partners. And, while many businesses can tote the SDVOSB designation, TEVET can support it further with expertise that each of our veterans bring to the Aerospace & Defense industry. Most worked with the systems and within the programs that we deliver service to today. Their knowledge adds to the capabilities that only TEVET can supply.

Our veterans can be found across our organization – Tracy Solomon, CEO and President, Navy veteran; Paul Daniel, Director of Quality and IT, Navy veteran; Ray Farrar, Business Analyst, Army veteran; and Brian Fletcher, Accounts Receivable and Procurement Clerk, Marine veteran.

Whether they are serving in uniform, as a civilian at TEVET, or as a member of our community, we greatly appreciate their dedication to making each day better for others. Thank you to our veterans and to all veterans within our nation. It is truly you who strengthen our families, communities, and nation.  And through the examples that you set, we continue to do the same.
