Greeneville, TN – TEVET gives back to more than just the humans in our HUBZone communities. We also take time to help out man’s best friends….and kittens. In honor of World Spay Day, on February 28th, TEVET employees volunteered this past weekend at the local Greeneville-Greene County Humane Society. They worked closely with the Humane Society staff to ensure that all the animals were taken care of from sweeping kennels to walking dogs, playing with kittens, and holding recently spayed patients. TEVET was there to lend a hand.
Volunteers made close connections with the animals, the staff, and the organization. TEVET employee, Blane Johnson stated, “It means the world to me to be able to help out animals who don’t have a voice. They need just as much love as anybody.” For most, this is only the beginning of volunteering with the local Humane Society. Through volunteering, TEVET employees realized the joy of selflessness and the Humane Society received the help they needed to get through another day.
TEVET strives to make a positive and long-lasting impact on its community through supporting community goals, actively participating within the community, and making community contributions. Yet, TEVET realizes that it is its employees who make an even larger impact on the community through volunteering with organizations that they are passionate about. With TEVET's success and its passionate employees, more good fortune can be shared throughout the community whether it is for man’s best friend, high school programs, or the support of local businesses. TEVET, with your integral support, helps the Greeneville area and its people (or furry friends) thrive.
