First Friday Fun - TEVET Taking Culture Seriously

First Friday Fun - TEVET Taking Culture Seriously

Greeneville, TN - This past Friday, the entirety of the TEVET team (both local and remote) took part in another First Friday event. The first Friday of every month, we dedicate our lunch hour to strengthening our culture through calling out the past month's successes, celebrating those who exemplify our values, sharing a potluck meal, and getting in on some fun with a game.

We have done everything from learning about one and another through "2 Truths, 1 Lie" to some March Madness bracket play to the latest Cornhole Championship. (We tend to lean toward the competitive side of games.) We understand that our people is what makes our culture, and that happiness is key to communication, teamwork, and success. So for us, there is no better way than to breathe and reset after the month's end deadline while simultaneously strengthening our team than to have a bit of fun and some good food.

We encourage others to take a moment to celebrate your organization. Focusing on your culture - whether through First Friday events or like our Third Thursday workshops - will only make your team stronger and your organization succeed. A few moments of dedicated time is worth ten-fold in the end!
