Jumping Over Obstacles for Our Youth - TEVET Takes on Cherokee 5K Challenge

Greeneville, TN –  This past weekend, TEVET members took to the races and got a bit muddy for a local summer camp, Long View Ranch. Long View Ranch is a local, non-profit, Christian summer camp that provides a fantastic, action-packed camp experience each summer. In order to raise funds for those campers who wouldn’t be able to afford to attend summer camp, Long View Ranch hosts the Cherokee Challenge 5K Obstacle Run. The community is encouraged to fundraise, race, and comes support the cause. And that is exactly what some TEVET team members turned out to do.

This year, the race fundraised over $12,000 for the camp.

We crawled through the mud, climbed over walls, practiced our balance across the water, and raced to the finish line. We were tired, but we were proud. Not only did we finish the race, but we were able to help our youth attend a camp that has the capability to shape their lives.
