TEVET Receives 2018 SBA Subcontractor of the Year, Region IV, Award

TEVET Receives 2018 SBA Subcontractor of the Year, Region IV, Award

Greeneville, TN – Yesterday called for a small town, small business celebration. TEVET received the SBA Subcontractor of the Year, Region IV, Award as nominated by Lockheed Martin, a leader in the Aerospace and Defense industry. In attendance were local and state representatives, local community organizations and leaders, Lockheed Martin and National Instruments representatives, and the Small Business Administration (SBA) Tennessee Director and Deputy Director.

The SBA Subcontractor of the Year, Region IV, Award recognizes successes made both in business and within the community. It is not a self-nominated award, but rather a distinction and honor bestowed by a customer or vendor. Business success is measured by continual outstanding performance, distinctive growth, and the creation of customer-centric solutions and relationships that foster collaboration. Community success is measured by the company’s positive impact on local organizations, outreaches, and overall participation as a community leader.

TEVET has been able to succeed on both points – business and community. Throughout the years, we have been able to create customized, innovative solutions for our customers and partners, but specifically for Lockheed Martin, that they utilize daily.

Likewise, we have been blessed to share our successes throughout our community through participating and supporting organizations like Holston Home for Children, SteppenStone Youth Services, Greeneville High JROTC program, Capitol Theatre, and others. “To give those kids who need a hand-up, a future leader who needs a mentor to guide them, or a historic community that needs a bit of revitalization to its glory days is the legacy that TEVET leaves behind,” stated Tracy Solomon, TEVET CEO, upon receiving the SBA award.

TEVET would like to thank all who have supported us throughout the years – employees, family members, customers, vendors, and community members. And thank you, Lockheed Martin for the gracious nomination. All the support we receive makes our realities and successes possible.
