With a year that was full of doubt firmly behind us, TEVET is excited to congratulate the recipients of the TEVET Take Flight Scholarship for 2021 – Cadet 2nd Lt. Briana Shelton and Cadet 2nd Lt. Samantha Henderson – on their completion of flight training and their first solo flights.
The TEVET Take Flight Scholarship has been awarded since 2017 to senior JROTC cadets who have a passion for flight. By accepting the scholarship, each cadet has been able to gain their solo wings. Meanwhile, other young cadets have gained the opportunity to begin their flight training.
For many years, TEVET has supported the local Greeneville High School Air Force JROTC program. During that time, we have seen the program increase in engagement and become a national leader. And to say it holds a special place in our hearts is an understatement
We believe that investing in our youth today will create unimaginable change in our community. By investing in future leaders, we can help guarantee a brighter future for so many others.
